Warm-Up Exercises & Stretches

The Shoulder Stretch

Place your right hand behind your head.  With left hand on right elbow, pull arm toward head and hold for 15 seconds, three times. Repeat with left arm.

 

The Across The Face Stretch

Reach across the face with right arm using left arm to assist the motion.  Hold for 15 seconds, three times.  Repeat with left arm.

The Over Head Stretch

Clasp your hands together and extend palms to ceiling.  Hold this position for 15 seconds three times.

 

Calf Stretch

Press your right heel on the floor, keeping your leg straight.  With left leg bent, lean toward the wall and hold for 15 seconds, three times.  Repeat with left heel.

 

Hamstring Stretch

Place your right heel on a chair or surface about knee-high.  Keep the knee straight and lean forward, trying to touch your toes.  If you can not reach your toes, reach as far as you comfortably can and hold that position for 15 seconds, three times.  Repeat with left leg.

Quad Stretch

Bring your right heel to your buttock and hold with right hand and balance.  Hold for 15 seconds, three times.  Use the wall for support if needed.  Repeat with left leg.

 

Hand & Wrist Exercises

Hand Exerciser

Squeeze the hand exerciser in the palm of your hand and release. You can also pinch between individual fingers.  Squeeze and release for 3 to 5 minutes at a time.
